Aliis was built so a young person's record of showing up for others doesn't come with a data-collection tradeoff. Here's exactly what that means, in plain terms.
Nothing. Aliis does not create an account for you, and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location.
Everything you type or log — contributions, notes, reflections — is stored locally on your device, in the app's own private storage. It never leaves your phone unless you personally choose to share it.
You can export your data at any time from the You screen, as a file you hold onto yourself, and re-import it later — for instance, if you switch phones. Your Record can be shared as an image through the standard iOS share sheet, but only when you tap "share." Nothing is exported automatically.
If you allow notifications, Aliis may remind you about an ongoing contribution. These reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification content or schedule is ever sent anywhere.
If you add the Aliis widget to your home screen, it reads your latest contribution from a small shared storage area on your device (an "App Group," Apple's own mechanism for letting an app and its widget talk to each other locally) so it can display a snapshot without opening the app. That data stays on your device the same as everything else.
Aliis is built with young people in mind, which is exactly why it collects nothing: there's no account to compromise and no server holding a record of a minor's activity. If you are under 13, we still encourage using the app alongside a parent or guardian.
Because everything lives on your device, deleting your data is entirely in your hands: use "Clear all data" in the You screen, or simply delete the app. There is no account for us to close and no server-side copy to remove, because none exists.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and reflected in the app.
