What is Sapor?
Sapor is a community-powered guide to wine by the glass, built around the ARC — a 7-point framework from pleasure to purpose. You nominate pours that mattered to you, set your active ∂ lens, and the app surfaces spots that match what you're actually looking for tonight — the room, the company, or just a good glass.
Why "by the glass"?
Sapor isn't a bottle-collecting or tasting-notes app. It's about a place that pours well, and the moment you're in when you order — not what the bottle is worth or how rare it is.
Do I need an account?
No. Sapor works anonymously by default. Community nominations use an anonymous identifier — no name, email, or account required.
Is Sapor free?
Yes. Sapor is free to download with no subscription, no in-app purchases, and no ads.
Why does the app ask my age before I can enter?
Sapor covers wine, an alcoholic beverage, so we confirm you're of legal drinking age in your region before you can use the app. This is a one-time confirmation, not an account or ID upload.
The ARC & Nominations
What does it mean to nominate a pour?
Nominating places a spot on the ARC at a specific ∂ level — from ∂1 (pure pleasure) to ∂7 (a place that's part of how you think about your life). It's not a rating. It's a placement. Where did this glass actually land for you?
Why doesn't my nomination appear immediately?
Nominations are reviewed before appearing publicly on the community map, usually within 24 hours.
Can I delete a nomination I submitted?
Because nominations are submitted anonymously and contribute to the aggregate community map, individual removal isn't always possible. Email us at
purposeapps.org@gmail.com and we'll do our best to help.
Technical
Why does Sapor need my location?
Location is used to show nearby nominated pours in Discover. We never track your location in the background and never store your location history. Revoke access any time in Settings → Sapor → Location.
The map isn't showing any pours near me. Why?
The community map grows as people nominate spots. If your area is new to Sapor, there may not be nominations yet — be the first.
Something isn't working. How do I report a bug?
