Privacy
Policy.
Invariably is a paid app, not an ad-supported one. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do.

The short version: We collect only what the app needs to work. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. Your pursuits, journal entries, and reflections are private by default. We never see or store your payment details — Apple or Google handle that entirely. You can cancel your subscription or request deletion of your content at any time.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Nominations and reflections — spots you nominate across the worlds Invariably unlocks, plus any reflections you contribute to a shared community map. These may appear publicly, without your name attached.
- Pursuits and journal entries — the intentions and reflections you log inside any world. These are private to you by default and never shared.
- Purpose-signal check-ins — an optional, skippable prompt asking how purposeful a moment felt. Used only to show patterns back to you; never to rank, recommend, or compare you to anyone else.
Information collected automatically:
- Location data — only when you use a Discover feature in one of Invariably's worlds, and only with your explicit permission. Never stored on our servers. See Section 4.
- Purchase/entitlement status — whether your subscription is active, handled through Apple, Google, and our billing processor RevenueCat. See Section 3.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide and improve the app:
- Unlock the worlds and cross-world views included in your subscription
- Show you patterns in your own activity across the worlds you use — descriptive only, never a recommendation or ranking
- Display community nominations to other users, without identifying you
- Find spots near your location when you request it
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and respond to support requests
We never use your information to serve ads, sell it to third parties, or build advertising profiles.
3. Subscription & Billing
- Invariably is $2.99/month with a 1-week free trial, billed and managed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — whichever store you subscribed through.
- We never see or store your card number or other payment details. Our billing processor, RevenueCat, only receives a subscription status token tied to an anonymous purchaser ID.
- Your subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel any time in your Apple ID or Google account subscription settings.
- Restore Purchases is available in the app at any time, without needing to buy again, if you reinstall or switch devices.
4. Location Data
- When we access it: Only when you actively use a Discover or route-planning feature inside a world — never in the background.
- What we do with it: Your coordinates are used to find nearby nominated spots. We do not store your location history on our servers.
- Your control: Revoke location permission at any time in Settings → Invariably → Location. Pursuits, journaling, and reflection features work fully without location access.
We never track your location in the background. Location is accessed only for the specific request you make, and only when you initiate it.
5. Data Storage & Security
Community data and pursuits are stored using Supabase, with encrypted storage and row-level security — meaning only you can access your own private data.
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Row-level security policies protect your private content
- Subscription entitlements are written server-side only — the app itself can never grant access without a verified purchase
6. Third-Party Services

We do not use advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or analytics services that collect personal information.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access — view all your contributions inside the app at any time.
- Deletion — contact us to request removal of content you have submitted. Because submissions are anonymous by default, we may ask you to verify ownership.
- Location — revoke permission at any time in iOS/Android Settings → Invariably → Location.
- Subscription — manage or cancel any time through your Apple ID or Google account settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Invariably is not directed at children under 13, and its paid subscription requires an adult-managed Apple ID or Google account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you through the app before changes take effect. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
