Privacy Policy
Worthwhile is built so that almost everything about you stays on your phone. Here's exactly what is stored, where, and why.
Last updated: October 2026The short version: No account. We never ask for your name or email. Your moments, bloom, notes and answers live only on your device. The only thing that reaches our server is anonymous Commons activity (ratings, prompts you suggest, and reports). No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and we never sell data.
What stays on your phone
These are stored only on your device. We can't see them.
- The moments you log: what you did, how long, which lens it fed, how it landed, and any words or notes you add
- Your bloom, the patterns the app notices, and your starting shape
- Your daily question answers and pulse check-ins
- Saved ideas, things you meant to get to, and "not for me" choices
- Private notes you write on Commons prompts
- Your settings, like dark mode and reminder times
If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
What reaches our server
Only the Commons, the shared part of the app, uses a server. It's anonymous.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your rating of a Commons prompt | So everyone can see how people rate it |
| Prompts you suggest | They're reviewed before anyone else sees them |
| Reports of a prompt | So we can remove things that don't belong |
| A random ID made on your phone | So you can change your own rating or delete your own prompt. It isn't tied to your name, email, phone or Apple ID. |
Location
If you tap Use my location, Worthwhile checks your location once, on your phone, to favor ideas you can walk to. Your location is never sent to us or anyone else, and it is never tracked in the background. You can turn it off any time in Settings → Worthwhile → Location.
Notifications
Reminders, like "your time is up" or a daily nudge, are scheduled on your phone. We don't send push notifications and don't collect a notification token.
Services we use
- Supabase stores the anonymous Commons data. Supabase privacy policy
- Expo delivers app updates. Expo privacy policy
- Apple distributes the app through the App Store and TestFlight.
Worthwhile has no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
Your choices
- See your data: Bloom → Data & sync → Export my data.
- Delete your data: Bloom → Data & sync → Delete local data, or delete the app.
- Delete a prompt you suggested: open it in the Commons and remove it.
- Remove your Commons ratings: email us. Because ratings are anonymous, include your ID (it's the worthwhile-owner-token line in Export my data) so we remove only yours.
Children
Worthwhile isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child under 13 has used the Commons, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
